What to Expect on Lease End

What to Expect on Your Lease End

No matter which option fits you best, getting ready for end of lease process is simple as 1,2,3 !

1. What to do when your lease end date is approaching?

Lessee will be contacted by Honda prior to the lease’s expiration giving them information on how they can get a final lease end inspection of the vehicle prior to returning it.
Before you schedule your Lease End Inspection, we recommend you complete a vehicle self-inspection.

At the end of your vehicle Inspection, you will receive a Vehicle Condition Report detailing any identified Excess Wear and Use on your Leased Vehicle. According to the lease contract you are responsible for excess wear and use, especially tires condition, any glass damage and vehicle body damage including scratched over 3", dings and dents no bigger than 1.5” in diameter, as well as interior burn holes, stains, cuts or tears.

If any end-of-term liabilities apply, these items will be billed at a later time.

Once our turn-in is complete, you’ll receive your final invoice in the mail about four to six weeks.

           Lease Inspection Guide

1. Schedule your Lease End Pre-Inspection

To avoid any unexpected surprises, we recommend beginning the process by scheduling a Pre-Inspection with our Clinton Honda team. This will offer you the opportunity of having our team review the conditions of your vehicle before the final Lease-End Inspection to identify potential damage now and assist with the necessary repairs.

2. Return your Leased vehicle to Clinton Honda

Contact our team on or before the expiration date of your lease, and arrange to come into our Honda dealership in Annandale NJ, located at 1511 Route 22, to turn in your leased vehicle. While you do not need to return your Honda leased vehicle to your original Honda dealer, it MUST be returned to an authorized Honda dealer.

Contact the Lease Maturity Center at 1-800-708-6555 to inform them that you have returned your vehicle.

If all payments have been made, your call will initiate the completion process for your lease account, and you will no longer receive a regular monthly billing statement.
If you have payments remaining on your account, you are responsible for making them. If your dealer has agreed to make the final payments, follow up with your dealer to ensure they are made on time.
If any end-of-term liabilities apply, these items will be billed at a later time.
