Peace of Mind with the Honda Sensing® Suite

The Honda Sensing® safety features are standard on every Accord model. This advanced suite covers a range of potential road hazards, so you can feel confident each time you hit the road.
In front, the Forward Collision Warning system can alert you if it senses a potential crash ahead. If you fail to stop or slow down in time, the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ can activate the brakes to potentially avoid a crash.
Plus, with the standard Traffic Sign Recognition System, you’ll know when the speed limit will be set to change or you’re faced with a Stop sign or traffic light. This can help you to slow down or speed up.
Other standard systems in this suite include:
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Traffic Jam Assist
  • Auto High-Beam Headlights
  • Driver Attention Monitor
You can also think of the standard Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Dynamic Guidelines as your personal Accord crystal ball. It shows you what you need to see from a few different angles, such as normal, top-down, and wide. This can guide you when you’re trying to pull out of a space or maneuvering into a tight parking spot.

Stay in Your Lane!

When you’re on the road with your Accord, you may need to switch lanes or travel in the same direction for a long period of time. To help, the Lane Departure Warning will beep to let you know if you start to drift out of your lane.
Then, the Lane Keeping Assist System will support you with gentle steering to steady you in your chosen lane. If you do get out of the lane without using your turn signal, the Road Departure Mitigation System can apply the brakes and adjust your steering wheel to help ensure that you’re staying safe.
To keep up with traffic at your preset speed and distance, the Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow will maintain your choices. The latter will help when you’re caught in stop-and-go traffic.

Available Driver-Assistive Systems in the Accord

Along with these standard features, the Accord has a few available features that can be equipped with your sedan. The Blind Spot Information System can add to your visibility with awareness of what may be hidden there.
The optional Cross Traffic Monitor focuses on the rear, so you know if something may be crossing your path in the back.
