Are you in the market for a hybrid car? Honda just added the 2019 Insight model to its line of fuel-efficient vehicles, and we'll be taking you through some of our favorite details. On this rundown, we'll look into this car's top features regarding efficiency, technology, interior and exterior design, and safety. Fuel Efficiency and Engine Performance If there's one thing everyone agree it's that the new 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid is all about fuel efficiency. The car maker claims their new vehicle, with a 10.6-gallon tank capacity, can get between 51 (Touring trim level) and 55 miles per gallon (LX and EX trim levels) in city driving. All three available trim levels come standard with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder and electric drive engine with 151 horsepower. Car experts who've taken this vehicle on a test drive agree that the 2019 Honda Insight performs as expected of a gas-electric hybrid model. Fuel efficiency is, no doubt, its calling card. more Exterior Design Even if you never thought of buying a compact sedan, the luxury-looking exterior design of the 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid will make you think twice. The LX and EX trim levels come with standard 16-inch alloy wheels, and the highest trim level, the Touring, comes with standard 17-inch alloy wheels. All trims include LED headlights, brake lights, and tail lights. LED fog lights are standard in the Touring trim and available in the EX trim. In the color department, the 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid makes a bold statement but remains a classic with seven finishes to choose from. Interior Comfort and Technology The interior details give continuity to the semi-sporty look of the exterior design but with added details of comfort and luxury. It's surprisingly spacious and functional for a five-seat sedan, and the available leather-trimmed seats really give it an upscale look. The battery is packed under the rear seat, so the car has a good trunk capacity of 15 cubic feet. Fold-down rear seats allow for multiple configurations and flexibility. For tech-savvy car buyers, available features include an 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and mobile hotspot capability, which comes standard with the Touring trim level. Top Safety Features Passenger safety shouldn't be an extra package. That's why all 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid models come standard with the signature Honda Sensing system. Top features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and road departure alert. The body of this Honda vehicle is built to minimize collision impact and increase the safety of all occupants. For increased passenger-side visibility, the EX and Touring trims include the Honda LaneWatch system. This system allows you to see live video images on the car's touchscreen display. One of the top concerns of eco-conscious drivers, other than respecting the environment, is owning the car with the best fuel efficiency in the market. Although not a decision-making point, having some style on the road is welcomed. The new 2019 Honda Insight Hybrid fits that profile while keeping the look classic. *Any MPG listed is based on model year EPA mileage ratings. Use for comparison purposes only. Your actual mileage will vary, depending on how you drive and maintain your vehicle, driving conditions, battery pack age/condition (hybrid only) and other factors.
