The research team at Good Housekeeping constantly tests products and vehicles to help consumers make the best choices for their hard-earned dollars.  Phillipsburg area Honda is  clinton Honda CRV 2014honored to be home Good Housekeeping’s top crossover with the best interior: the Honda CR-V.

 

Why the Honda CR-V

The magazine praised the crossover SUV for many of its available and standard features.  Good Housekeeping said the Honda CR-V delivers “terrific value and fuel economy.”  Some of the site’s favorite features include the following:

  • Shifting and fuel economy

The Honda CR-V has a 2.4-liter, inline-4 cylinder engine.  The horsepower rating is 185 hp at 7000 RPM with 163 ft.-lbs. of torque at 4300 RPM.

  • Handling and quiet ride

Good Housekeeping liked the CR-V’s electric-assisted steering, which made it easier to park.  The Honda CR-V is equipped with cruise control, front strut suspension, multi-link suspension in the rear and 4-wheel independent suspension.

  • Rear seats

The crossover has a new rear seat.  The 60/40 rear bench seat has levers that allow the seat to fold over on either side of the cargo.

  • Cargo space

The max cargo space in the CR-V with all of the seats in place is 37.2 cubic feet.

The Honda CR-V is receiving waves of awards and accolades.  US News Rankings and Reviews awarded the 2014 Honda CR-V with the 2014 Best Compact SUV for Families award, and the site ranked the crossover #1 in three categories.  The NHTSA gave the Honda CR-V a five-star safety rating, and Edmunds.com gave the SUV an “A” rating.  Kelley Blue Book awarded the Honda CR-V with the 2014 Best Resale Value Award.
