Honda just announced that they can now add the 2016 Honda Pilot into its lineup of top safety rated vehicles as it has been presented with a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) when it is equipped with the optional front crash prevention. This impressive SUV earned this rating with a superior rating granted to their front crash prevention system, and by scoring a GOOD in all five of the IIHS crash tests which include the small overlap frontal crash test.

Standard safety features on the 2016 Honda Pilot include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, rearview cameras, Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) electronic stability control system, frontal airbags, and side airbags, side-curtain airbags.

Additionally, Honda Sensing™ comes standard on the LX and higher trim levels of the 2016 Honda Pilot. This system includes features such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), and Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) with Forward Collision Warning (FCW).
