The 2016 North American Car of the Year Award has been presented to the 2016 Honda Civic, making this the second time that a Honda vehicle has received this award since it first began back in 1994. Each year, a group of 53 international automotive journalists from the U.S. and Canada select the winner after an extensive evaluation of all the available models. During this evaluation they take key factors into consideration including driver satisfaction, innovation, value, design, handling, and safety performance.
For the 2016 model, the Civic has been completely redesigned from the inside out and is equipped with a Honda turbo engine, and Honda Sensing™ safety and driver-assistive technologies. This model is also the first compact car in the world to be equipped with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

We Have A New Page Available On The 2016 Honda Civic
Last month we told all of our customers that we would be releasing a Research & Review page on the 2016 Honda Civic and we are pleased to be able to tell you that the page has now been released. If you live in or around Annandale, Clinton, Somerville, NJ; or Easton, PA and you would like to take a test drive in this model then simply head over to Clinton Honda whenever you are available. In the meantime, be sure to read through this new page in order to become better acquainted with the specifics. We have a few of the facts available below.
In terms of safety and convenience features, the 2016 Honda Civic comes equipped with features such as Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with Traction Control, Security System with Remote Entry and Trunk Release, USB Audio Interface, Bluetooth® Streaming Audio, Cruise Control, Available SMS Text Message Function, Available HD Radio™, Available Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel, Available Collision Mitigation Braking System™, and Available Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers.
There are even more optional features as well as performance options available depending on which of the five trim level options that you decide on.
Honda Division Sales Released
For the second year in a row the Honda Division has set new all-time sales records for both December and the entire year. For the year, total Honda sales were up 2.6 percent to reach 1,373,029 units and for just December total sales amounted to 134,070 units which is 12.2 percent higher than the 119,472 units the brand sold during December of the previous year.
“What better way to celebrate the “Year of Honda” than with an all-time automobile sales record,” said John Mendel, executive vice president of the Automobile Division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “We are grateful to our customers who embraced our entire product lineup and are the true power behind the Honda brand.”
December Sales For Honda:
- Accord sales increased 11 percent to reach 35,056 units
- Civic increased 20 percent to reach 32,796 units
- CR-V reached 31,185 units
- CR-Z increased 31 percent to reach 316 units
- Odyssey increased 5.7 percent to reach 11,800 units
- Pilot increased 7.9 percent to reach 13,344 units

As most Honda fans know, the brand’s popular catch phrase is “The Power of Dreams”. The philosophy behind this phrase is that we should never stop imagining or dreaming to come up with the next innovative. The brand has been promoting this ideal in a number of new advertisements that began towards the end of last year. The most recent advertisement that is backed with this theme featured the 2016 Honda Civic and it is simply called “The Dreamer”.
This new 60-second spot starts off with a Honda developer as he is working on the drawing for the 2016 Civic, we are then taken inside his imagination to see the journey that the vehicle takes from initial concept on through the process until the final product is completed.

The 2016 Honda Civic and the 2016 Honda Pilot have both been recognized with Hispanic Motor Press Awards®. These awards are presented to all of the new or refurbished vehicles that the organization feels are the best for families within their category. For the 2016 awards the Pilot was named “Best SUV” and the Civic was named “Best Compact Sedan”.

The 2016 Honda Pilot offers seating for up to seven or eight passengers depending on the trim level along with a variety of available features that are ideal for family traveling. Some of these features include Blu-Ray DVD rear seat entertainment, Honda Sensing™ safety and driver-assistive technologies. This model also gets its power by a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and advanced new Intelligent Traction Management system.
The 2016 Honda Civic has been given a sporty new redesign and is offered with two new engine options that include a 178 hp turbocharged 1.5L direct injection engine; the first turbocharged engine available in the Civic line. This model also has many available technologies such as Honda Sensing, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™.

After its world debut at the North American International Auto show during January in Detroit, the new 2017 Honda Ridgeline will make its television debut on Sunday, February 7th, during Super Bowl 50. The commercial will be seen by over 100 million viewers and Honda will promote the 2017 Ridgeline across a multitude of platforms.
“The big game is the largest and most coveted stage to show the world that Honda is back in a big way with an all-new Ridgeline truck,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Automobile Division. “Super Bowl 50 is the right time and the right venue to communicate Honda’s continued leadership in light trucks. The multiplatform approach will enable Ridgeline to come out of the gate strong in 2016.”This marks Honda’s first official Super Bowl commercial spot since their “Hugfest” commercial in 2014.
The 2017 Ridgeline will be available at Honda dealerships during the first half of 2016 and will join Honda’s current line of innovative light truck models. Currently, Honda is on track to for a new record in light truck sales, with sales reaching almost 600,000 units as November came to a close.
Currently, the Ridgeline is being further worked on by Honda’s North American design and engineering team and is set to be manufactured at Honda’s auto and engine plant in Lincoln, Alabama.

AutoGuide.com has just named the 2016 Honda Civic as their 2016 Car of the Year. Since going on sale during mid-November, the Civic sedan caught the attention of the website with its all-new style and new 1.5-liter turbo engine.
