There are many ways that you can showcase the sleek and sophisticated styling of the all-new Honda Civic. Honda chose to do so through a unique 360-degree music video that features the talented musician Moses Sumney. In the video, Sumney is standing in a warehouse surrounded by several 2016 Honda Civic vehicles as he starts to beatbox and then sing and even use the car as a tool for additional sound effects. However, as the video gets going the use of camera tracks show not just one or two but multiple versions of Sumney all singing the different parts thereby having him out on an acapella performance all by himself. Even more interesting is the 360 capability of the video allows you to turn the viewing screen so that you can see all around the setting just as you would if you were actually in the room with him.

See the video below and be sure to stop by Clinton Honda to learn more about the everything the 2016 Civic has to offer.

The Honda Division continues their strong start to 2016 with a new February record in sales. Honda sold 106,212 vehicles resulting in a 14.9 percent from February 2015. Honda trucks reached a total of 48,495 vehicles for the month, setting a record of their own. Honda cars had a successful month as well, with 57,267 vehicles.

The 2016 Honda Civic was largely responsible for Honda’s success as the brand’s best-selling model for the month. The Civic was also record setting, having sold 27,707 vehicles which was a 31.7 percent increase. The Accord had an impressive month increasing 19.3 percent to sell 25,785 vehicles. The CR-V was another record setter up 13.2 percent with 25,250 vehicles in February.

“Led by the all-new Civic, Honda cars are defying industry trends, even as our light truck models are red hot this winter,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. “With more versions of the Civic yet to go on sale and an all-new Ridgeline on the way, Honda is primed for an incredibly strong start to the year.”

2016 will be the 35th year of Honda’s sponsorship of the Honda Classic, and to celebrate Honda Motor Company has announced they will commit to another five years of sponsoring the tournament, which means it will continue through 2021. This makes Honda the longest-running continuous sponsor of the tournament.

Back in 1982, Honda formed a strong partnership with the tournament host organization, Children’s Healthcare Charity, Inc. which helps support organizations fighting for the well-being of children in Florida. The Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation helps improve the lives of children and is the primary beneficiary of The Honda Classic. Golfers and children have greatly benefited from this partnership, while children in Florida are getting the care they need, several international golfers have launched their careers here, winning 6 of the 8 most recent tournaments.

“There has been enormous focus on the emergence of The Honda Classic as one of the elite events on the PGA TOUR, but what isn’t mentioned often enough is how much the stability American Honda has provided as title sponsor has been the foundation of that success,” Kennerly said. “The partnership between American Honda and this tournament is one of the greatest corporate/event relationships in all of sports. Thirty-five years is a long time and Honda has been a pillar of strength through all of the great moments and some of the trying times in the history of The Honda Classic. We are extremely excited about Honda’s continuing support and we look forward to working together to maintain the standard of excellence that has been a trademark of The Honda Classic.”

A recent episode of MotorWeek’s Retro Review featured the class changing 1997 Honda CR-V. While it’s hard to imagine the SUV market without the CR-V, there was a time when Honda was slow to join the emerging SUV craze in the 90’s. But once the world was introduced to this “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle,” it quickly became a widespread success.

In the Retro Review, MotorWeek marveled at the fuel efficiency of the CR-V, remarking that is was able to deliver a car based fuel economy. And unlike other SUVs, the CR-V offered a “civilized ride and stable handling.” Its features were mostly inspired by the successful Civic sedan, including double wishbone suspension and excellent interior ergonomics. The 16-Valve 2.0 Liter Inline Four-Cylinder Engine in the 1997 Honda CR-V turned out a respectable 126 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. Oh, and did we mention there’s a transportable picnic table included? Gotta love the 90’s.

The U.S. News & World Report has released their list of “Best Cars for the Money.” Honda was fortunate enough to be honored six times with five different Honda models. The 2016 Civic was named “Best Compact Car for the Money, the 2016 Honda HR-V was named “Best Subcompact SUV for the Money,” the 2016 Honda Odyssey was named “Best Minivan for the Money,” the 2016 Honda Pilot was named “Best 3-Row SUV for the Money,” and the 2016 Honda Fit was named both “Best Hatchback for the Money” and “Best Subcompact Car for the Money” for the second year in a row.

U.S. News & World Report chooses vehicles quality by safety, reliability and industry expert opinions. They combine the car’s five-year ownership cost with the average price to determine the value. Honda is very pleased with the results. “Honda is committed to building vehicles that bring joy to our customers and ultimately deliver long-term value,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. “Quality and value for money are key attributes customers expect when buying a Honda, and these awards recognize the brand’s ongoing fulfillment of that promise.”

American Honda Motor Company released their January sales numbers last week. They reported a total of 100,497 Honda and Acura vehicles sold. This was a slight decrease from last year, largely because of the unpredictable winter weather across the country, as well as two fewer selling days than January 2015. The Honda division set a new record for January with 90,247 vehicles (50,812 cars and 39,435 trucks). The 2016 Honda Civic Sedan is largely responsible for this, along with the Accord and HR-V.

Honda seems very pleased with these numbers. “Led by incredibly strong demand for the all-new Civic, the Honda brand persevered rain, snow and two fewer selling days to post a strong first month of the year,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. “With Honda’s strong cadence of new models throughout 2016 we will continue our momentum and remain positive about 2016.”
