Honda Released New Advertisement Called “Swing”
Honda is promoting their partnership with Little League Baseball through a new commercial that focuses on their “Power of Dreams” slogan. In this new spot, Honda shows the true importance of learning to follow your dreams and what can come of those who do.
The commercial features a young little leaguer who will grow up to become a professional baseball player. Right now, however, he is just another young boy with a dream stepping up to the plate to take a swing. The commercial shows glimpses of his promising future while ultimately focusing on the importance of the beginning of that journey, and how it all started with a bat and a dream.
July Sales Totals Reported By Honda Division
For this past July, the American Honda Motor Co. reported an overall sales total of 131,409 units for the Honda Division, a 6.5 percent rise over the 123,428 units that were sold during July of last year. Additionally, total sales for all of 2015 so far have reached 797,323 units, a 1.6 percent increase over this same period in 2014.
“This is not only the strongest lineup of Honda light trucks in our history, from top to bottom it is one of the hottest lineups in the industry’s hottest segment—trucks,” said Jeff Conrad, Honda Division senior vice president and general manager. “What feels really good is that Honda automobiles are also showing considerable strength, even with the new 2016 Accord and all-new Civic on the horizon.”
Honda Division Sales:
- Odyssey increased by 17.8 percent with 12,851 units
- CR-Z reached 270 units
- CR-V increased by 11.4 percent with 31,785 units
- Accord reached 34,496 units
- Crosstour increased by 8.2 percent with 924 units
- Pilot reached 9,584 units
- Fit reached 4,332 units
- Civic increased by 3.7 percent with 31,139 units
- HR-V reached 5,909 units
The 2015 Honda Fit and the 2016 Honda HR-V have been included on the Kelley Blue Book list of the 10 Best Back-to-School Cars of 2015. This list is designed to help students who will soon be returning to school find a vehicle that is capable of fitting all of their unique needs. All of the vehicles on the list must have a starting MSRP of around $20,000 or less and each one was selected by a group of KBB experts who tested out all of the available new models to determine which would best match the needs of students.

Honda Unveils 2016 Accord In Silicon Valley
Silicon Valley is one of the most technologically advanced places in the world, so it’s fitting that just last month, Honda unveiled one of their most technologically advanced cars there. The 2016 Honda Accord will feature some of the most up-to-date vehicle technology that very few other cars have incorporated yet.
The Accord will also incorporate a new audio touchscreen interface as well as one of the safest vehicle technology systems on the road today, Honda Sensing. Other features will include HD radio, heated rear seats, front and rear parking sensors, and many more, further solidifying its role as one the market’s most technologically advanced vehicles.

Honda’s largest manufacturing plant in the world recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. The Honda of America Mfg.’s Anna Engine Plant first began production of Honda engines on July 22, 1985, and in the past thirty years has produced over 20 million engines. Over the years, this plant has grown considerably, increasing not only their production level but their staff size and the size of the plant itself. When the Anna Engine plant first opened there were only 94 associates, a number that has now grown to over 2,800. Additionally, through expansions, the plant’s size has increased to 2.4 million square feet. bringing their production level increased from an annual capacity of 1.16 million four and six-cylinder engines.
Some of the plant’s most significant expansions have been seen in just the past four years as Honda has invested over $800 million in the facility, which includes the construction of the brand’s most technically advanced engine assembly line in North America, which was constructed in 2014. Additionally, through these expansions, the plant has recently begun production of turbo engines such as the 2.0-liter VTEC® Turbo which will power the next generation of Honda Civics.
